Use this interactive tool to estimate your daily calorie need to maintain weight.  The estimate is based on the Harris-Benedict Equation. 

You will need the Java Plug-in to run this applet.  

A second version of this applet is under development. It will have an update user interface and the capability to incorporate life style as a factor.
